Evaluation of the Consistency of the Vegetation Clumping Index Retrieved from Updated MODIS BRDF Data

چکیده
The clumping index (CI) quantifies the foliage grouping within distinct canopies relative to randomly distributed canopies, which plays an important role in vegetation radiative regime. Among structure parameters, global CI map can be retrieved by using multiangle remote sensing observations. bidirectional reflectance distribution function (BRDF)/Albedo product (MCD43) of Moderate-Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) is crucial input data product, provides validated spatiotemporal continuous directional data. To determine impacts updating MCD43 on consistency and performance products, CIs from different versions (Collection V005/V006, C5/6) were compared a scale with field-measured results showed that seasonal comparisons C5 C6 are generally consistent. Compared data, have improved quality more main algorithm retrievals fewer case missing over field measurements indicate both agree terms values variations, while (R2 = 0.89, RMSE 0.05, bias 0.02) closer than 0.80, 0.07, 0.03), indicating higher accuracy for monthly recommended characterizing overall patterns surface CIs.

Estimation of vegetation clumping index using MODIS BRDF data
The foliage clumping index quantifies the degree of the deviation of leaf spatial distribution in the canopy from the random case. It is of comparable importance for ecological models as the leaf area index for quantifying radiation interception and distribution in plant canopies. Previously, an improved angular index named normalized difference between hotspot and darkspot was proposed for ret...

abstract while task-based instruction is considered as the most effective way to learn a language in the related literature, it is oversimplified on various grounds. different variables may affect how students are engaged with not only the language but also with the task itself. the present study was conducted to investigate language and task related engagement on the basis of the task typolog...
15 صفحه اولAnalysis of Extracting Prior BRDF from MODIS BRDF Data
Many previous studies have attempted to extract prior reflectance anisotropy knowledge from the historical MODIS Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF) product based on land cover or Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) data. In this study, the feasibility of the method is discussed based on MODIS data and archetypal BRDFs. The BRDF is simplified into six archetypal BRD...
